JAL, ANA To Forgo Fuel Surcharges
JAL and ANA, Japan's two largest airlines said that they may scrap their fuel surcharges on international flights.
Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways are considering reducing the surcharge to zero for purchasing tickets from July'09 if average jet fuel prices stay below 60 dollars a barrel.
Both airlines said they would announce a final decision on surcharges when they report their annual earnings results next month. The surcharge, which was last reduced from April 1, now stands at $34 (one way) on routes for North America - Japan.
The global aviation industry has been battered by the economic downturn and airlines are hoping that the end to fuel surcharges will encourage more people to take to the skies.

Swine Flu Alert
On the 27APR even in the United States, emergency declaration is put out for swine flu.
According to the NARITA airport (Japan) quarantine place Administration Division, thermography which is usually in the quarantine place was installed even in the arrival gate on the 25APR, the entry person from Mexico was checked preponderantly.
Furthermore, from 29APR quarantine officer boards the flight from Mexico and passengers will be checked body temperature by thermography in a way.
Also the flights from America and Canada will be checked from concerning that person from Mexico might be on board via America and Canada to Japan.
Attendant upon strengthening the quarantine, it is expected to take more time for entry procedure.
