For the ticket purchase between April-Jun, JL and NH are planing to significantly reduce the fuel surcharge.
The fuel surcharge would go from $135 to $20 each way for flights between Japan and Hawaii. The surcharge will go from $204 to $34 each way between Japan and the U.S. Mainland.

Today, AA announced it has been decreased already for AA ticket.
AA (American Airlines) $400.00 ------ $68.00

However, they increased the base fare to adjust ticket total price, so total price is similer to other airline tickets.

Anyway,
total ticket price might be lower than last year's and now is the time to travel to Japan!
